How Trinity Digital Music Exams Work

Oct 27, 2020

How Digital Exams work:

In Music Graded Exams (both Classical and Rock&Pop), candidates will be required to upload a performance of their pieces and technical work (a selection of scales and/or exercises) in one continuous video. Supporting tests (aural/sight reading/musical knowledge) or session skills (improvisation/playback) will not be part of the submission.

In Music Performance Diplomas, the exam requirements are unchanged.

These digital exams enable candidates to record their pieces/songs and technical work at a place and time of their choice and then submit the video recording via our online platform to be assessed by our expert examiners. The exams have the same academic rigour as our face-to-face exams, and candidates gain full recognition for their achievements, with the same certificate and MQF points awarded as for the face-to-face exams.

Visit Trinity's website for all syllabuses, filming guidelines and information.

Kindly inform me when applying with a Special Needs Request Form since Trinity will need to confirm your requirements prior to the candidate filming and uploading their exam video. Thanks.
