Applications for the December 2025 Digital exam session are now open. Deadline: 30th November 2025.
- New fees are out (starting from September 2025).
Notes:
- Kindly note that all applications and payments will only be accepted through the online portal.
- There are pathway options for digital exams; you can choose between Technical which involves preparing pieces & tech work; or you can choose the Repertoire pathway which consists only of pieces. Read more on this below.
- Fees for 2025-2026 can be downloaded below.
- For Theory exams, candidates will be permitted to sit for only one grade/paper per session. Doing two different grade exams in one session will not be allowed.

Practical Digital Music Exams:
Trinity Practical Digital music exams are taking place monthly. For session dates, see the top of this page.
To apply for your digital practical music exam, always apply a month ahead. You will then receive your login details to upload your exam video in the beginning of the following month.
There are no plans for resuming physical practical music exams. Digital practical exams will remain available for the foreseeable future.
All solo grade exams, both Classical and Rock&Pop, including ATCL and LTCL Recital diplomas are available digitally (excluding FTCL).
There are options for Digital Music Grades:
Choose between two pathways:
- Technical Work pathway: Perform three repertoire pieces* as well as technical work
OR
- Repertoire-only pathway: Perform four pieces of repertoire*
The exam entry process is exactly the same. Simply choose the relevant pathway (Technical or Repertoire) for each candidate while applying.
* in line with current requirements in the Singing syllabus, singers at Grades 6-8 will present four pieces in the Technical Work pathway, and five in the Repertoire-only pathway.

Music Theory Exams:
The next theory exam session is scheduled for:
Saturday 8th November 2025 at 09:30
Monday 10th November 2025 at 17:30 (Alternative date)*
*Note that an extra charge of 20 EUR per candidate applies for the alternative date. This alternative date exam has to be applied for before the application deadline. This exam date is available in Malta only (not in Gozo). Only Theory Grades 1-8 are available on this date.

You can find the Special Needs Provision forms available for download here, one for Theory exams, and one for Digital Practical exams.
You will need to upload your SN documents (the SN form and evidence if applying for the first time) while filling in your online application form.
Kindly wait for us to contact you before uploading and submitting your Digital Practical exam with a Special Needs Request since Trinity will need to confirm your requirements prior to the candidate filming and uploading their exam video.
